Teaching & Talking with Beth

I love sharing what I’ve learned through years of knitting, adapting, and creating, both in person and online. Whether it’s a hands-on workshop or a thoughtful talk, my goal is always the same: to help makers of all abilities feel confident, inspired, and included.

All of my workshops are available in person (with travel and accommodation expenses covered where applicable) or online, and my rate is $100 per hour.

You can download my free 2025 Workshop Menu below to see full details.

Here’s a taste of what we can explore together:

  • Adaptive Knitting: Crafting Inclusivity and Accessibility
Techniques and approaches that make knitting accessible for everyone.
In-person: 3–4 hours (can be split into two parts)
Online: 2 hours, with slightly less one-on-one attention

  • Makers Mindset – An Adaptive Thinking Workshop
Dive into creative problem-solving and adaptive thinking for makers of all kinds.
In-person: 3–4 hours (can be split)
    Online: 2 hours

  • Choosing the Perfect Yarn: Crafting Confidence in Every Stitch
From fiber to gauge to pattern adaptation, gain confidence in every stitch.
In-person: 3–4 hours (can be split)
    Online: 2 hours

  • Beyond the Yarn: Transforming Knits into Wall Art with Adaptive Thinking
Turn knitted pieces into expressive, creative works of art using adaptive techniques.
In-person: 3–4 hours (can be split)
    Online: 2 hours

  • Portuguese Knitting: Adaptive Techniques for Effortless Crafting
Discover the ease and rhythm of Portuguese knitting while learning ways to adapt for comfort and accessibility.
    In-person: 3 hours
    Online: 2 hours

Coming in 2026: I’ll be adding a 40-minute keynote, “Adapt, Create, Repeat” perfect for conferences, guilds, and fiber festivals, to share insights, inspiration, and the power of adaptive knitting on a larger stage.

Each workshop is hands-on, inclusive, and practical. Whether we meet in a cozy classroom or over a screen, I bring years of experience and a passion for making knitting—and thinking about making—accessible for everyone.
